Unzadi

Hauled out the digital camera and started taking some shots.  Still very much a newbie, but all the great stock on DA has inspired me.  I've added some photos of stuff from the hotel room where I stayed for the Let Your Imagination Take Flight conference this past weekend, and my first piece and a half (one has just a bit of an effect) of digital art based on original pictures. Baby steps, how adorable, hmm?

The plan is to update at least once a week, but it's been an interesting week for real life, which is part of what makes art an absolute neccessity. I have come to terms with the fact that the answer to "how many blank books do you need, anyway?" is "all of them." As soon as I can figure out how to keep the digital camera steady enough (or break down and hook up the new scanner) I can start putting copies of altered book pages here. The first old day planner I'd been altering is (gasp) full now, no more pages left, the ones that are there are straining at the coil, and in a way it's like saying goodbye to an old friend. Well. Ahem. ::looks around:: Me. Theoretically a grownup, happily married, enjoying life, family, friends, faith, critters while making up stuff with words and visuals. Apart from laundry, it's a pretty good deal.
